Scherer, Max

Max Scherer was born in Sinsheim on May 27, 1873.

His parents were the tradesman Wolf Scherer (1836 - 1924) from Sinsheim and his wife Johanna née Bauer (1842 - 1924) from Eschelbach.

Max married Bertha Kaufmann (1882 - 1959) from Ladenburg on September 12, 1905 in Ladenburg.

The couple had one daughter, Mathilde (1907 - 1981), who married Karl Lichtenstein (1899 - 1957). 

Max had a prosperous clothes shop in Sinsheim Bahnhofstraße.

Max and Bertha could escape to the USA in 1939. 

Max died in Urbana OH on July 20, 1937.
