Scherer, Kurt

Kurt Scherer was born in Sinsheim on September 19, 1908.

His parents were the master baker Moritz Scherer (1878 - 1965) from Sinsheim and his wife Anna née Dreifuß (1880 - 1916) from Kuppenheim.

Kurt left Germany in 1933 and married Yvonne Julie Raphael (1910 - 1987) from Mittelbronn (Lothringen) on May 16, 1935.

The couple lived in France.

At first they remained in hiding, but in 1943 Kurt was arrested and taken to the  Miramas internment camp.

In 1944 he was taken to the Drancy internment camp and from there deported to an "unknown place in the East".

There he was murdered under unknown circumstances.
