Reinach, Ilse

Ilse Jeanette Reinach was born in Sinsheim on July 13, 1919.

Her parents were the master baker Leopold Reinach (1885 - 1972) and his wife Bertha née Oppenheimer (1887 - 1974).

In 1938 she escaped to New York where she met her brother Karl. Her parents also came there later on.

Ilse married Dewald Strauss (1906 - 1974) from Billigheim in New York on August 12, 1948.

The couple had two sons: Larry Allan (*1951) and Jerry Kurt (*1955).

Dewald Strauss was a sales man for the New York firm Fuller Brush.

Ilse died in New York on January 2, 1977.
