Karl Lichtenstein

Karl Lichtenstein was born in Selters on September 27, 1899.

His parents were the butcher Siegmund Lichtenstein (1852-1900) from Selters and his wife Lina née Bernstein (1850-1901).

Karl was married in Sinsheim on May 8,1928. His wife was Mathilde Scherer (1907 - 1981) from Sinsheim.

The couple had one son, Werner (*1931).

Karl became co-owner in the firm of his father in law, Max Scherer (1873 - 1947).

The family Lichtenstein escaped to the USA in 1936.

Karl started a clothes business.

He died in Cleveland OH on April 21, 1957.
