Scherer, Ludwig

Ludwig Scherer was born in Sinsheim on May 10, 1920.

His parents were the master baker Moritz Scherer  (1878 - 1965) from Sinsheim and his wife Mina née Kaufmann (1886 - 1936) from Zaberfeld.

When he had left school the Nazis prevented any qualification. So he tried auxiliary jobs to earn his living.

In 1939 he escaped to Great Britain and after some time in internment in Canada he came back there. He married Marga Kiewe (*1912) from Schneidemühl in 1942. 

Ludwig and Marga emigrated to Israel in 1948, but moved back to Germany in 1954.

1954 the couple moved to Sinsheim, where Marga died in 1992 and Ludwig on Oktober 17, 1996.
